- Enjoy and take notes in the meeting, gives teachers a first-hand look at what students may need to be successful.

- Create a document to summarize the important accommodations. (Helps to plan from year to year)

- Be aware and attuned to classroom teacher meetings. You can give them insight and knowledge.
- Figure out you can relate the information present in the meetings to your classroom setting.

- You see ALL of the students, you can relate the information you have gathered through the years to help teachers.

Recess Bags (Or whatever you use for student equipment at recess)
- Have the bag prepared. Order the equipment the year before.
- Keep an inventory on what you distribute.
- Have a plan for damaged and lost equipment. Communicate this plan with Administration.
- Recommend a hands-off/take personal responsibility approach.
- Recess Cart style – have one large cart to take out to recess for all grades.
Managing and Ordering Equipment
- Create a running list of equipment. Add, subtract, remove when necessary.
- Be aware and cautious of deadlines and expiration dates for money and gift cards.
- Create a “wish list” of equipment so any extra money can be used for that.
- Organize your equipment room. Place equipment in containers that are easy to access.
Roster Preparation
- Because we are one of the last teachers to get the rosters, be prepared for changes and adjustments.
- Enter the school year with a “default” roster and be ready to make changes.
- Purchase the yearbook! A valuable tool to help remember students.
