What’s up Phys Ed Family!
Today I wanted to highlight one of my membership resources and a great little tool that I’ve been using with my students.
A few years ago I got sick of never having any exercise posters with actual kids on them, it seemed like anything I could find was designed for adults.
Don’t get me wrong, there are awesome resources that I was using like Darbee’s Posters and Mr. C’s Super Hero Warmups, but I wanted a resource with exercises that had the following elements:
- Adolescent aged examples
- Specific exercises that I teach my students (curl-ups, sit and reach, shoulder tap pushups)
- The main component of fitness that was targeted displayed on the sign
Sure, I could’ve just made due with what I had, but I’m a bit of a control freak and I really wanted to create something that fit perfectly with my PE program and the exercises that I was in the habit of teaching students…
So I decided to create my very own resource, which leads me too…
The Printable Exercise Posters Pack
I thought about trying to draw/design them myself… but while I’m awesome behind a computer or a camera, I don’t have much talent when it comes to drawing/illustration.
So, to keep the posters from looking like horrible stick figure drawings, I took some pictures of myself in the different exercise poses and hired a designer and we created these awesome examples with a variety of adolescent examples along with the top 25 exercises that I wanted to have drawn.
You can see an example of how they turned out below:
After I got the final result, I was really happy with the way the designs turned out.
Using the illustrations, I created 25 one page exercise posters and also created 10 one page workouts AMRAP style (As Many Rounds As Possible within a time limit).
I use station work to slowly introduce my students to a few exercises at a time and then add a few different exercise choices each week until we have eventually gone over all 25 of the exercises.
Once I introduce my students to the 25 exercises, I let them begin to do the One Page Workouts as a warmup activity and give them the option to pick the one they would like to focus on depending on their fitness goals.
How I Set Up the Workout
Normally, I start with 2 exercise signs at each of the 6 stations around the room and we rotate through a Interval Workout of 30 seconds on – 15 seconds off. So students do the exercise for 30 seconds then when the timer buzzes they rotate to the next station and have 15 seconds to rotate and rest.
The following week I will add one extra exercise choice at each station and introduce those 6 exercises to the students. Repeating the following week so each station will have 4 choices.
I like to have the different exercise options at each station so students can switch if they get too tired (for example burpees for 30 seconds is pretty tough).
After they learn all of the exercises, I switch it up by allowing them to choose from the One Page Workouts and try to complete as many rounds as they can in a 3-5 minute time limit.
You can also project them on a screen if you have one available in your teaching space.
You can see an example of the One Page Workout Posters Below:
You can purchase them below if you think they’d be a good fit for your program (click the button, then click it again to Checkout).

I purchased the 25 exercise poster pack on July 12 but wasn’t able to download. What do I do to download the pack?
Marcus says
Hey Luis!
There was a link to download the Resource Pack on the Purchase Confirmation Page, and also we sent you an email – it could be in your SPAM Folder, have you checked your SPAM? Sometimes we get filtered because of the download link.
Another possibility is that you entered your email wrong or accidentally mispelled it.
A common issue with school emails is the school district filtering out emails with download links – so it’s usually better to use another email (Gmail works great) when trying to receive downloads.
We’ve emailed you link for your download – Check your email & thanks for the Purchase!

Hi, just wondering how often you have the students do the workout posters? Do you do them once a term, once a month, once a week? Thanks, Pam
Marcus Nellems says
Hey Pam,
It just depends on the situation. We use them as a stand alone lesson, as stations, as a warmup, and even the after school program uses them while they are in the gym. More importantly it’s a visual for students to see when they are in the gym.
It’s random for us but you can use them when needed.
Hope this helps!

I love your graphic that you choose for your class cards. Could you let me know what graphic program my school needs to purchase. I have a lot of extra time while my students are learning asychronous lessons from home.

Canva.com is a free graphic design program. You can upgrade to a paid version if you like. I’ve attached a link below:

I am struggling too. I’m signed in but I can’t find the posters. I really love and appreciate all the info you get when a member but I have a problem seeing the material. There has to be an easier way to view members resources. I’m just not finding it.
Thank you !
