The Whip / The Nae Nae Dance
The Whip/Nae Nae has been a pretty popular dance over the last year and so in an attempt to stay culturally relevant (and to have fun of course) this year I’m teaching it to my kids. The lyrics are clean and the moves are pretty easy and you don’t even have to remember when they are in the song because Silento calls them out during each step of the dance.
Apparently the Nae Nae move has been around for a long time (buzzfeed history report here), but the dance recently got more popular when it was redone.
Also, if you want to see some modifications for kids check this one out:
You can download a cheat sheet I made the help of the talented Marcus Nellems with the steps for the “Normal Version” and the “Exercise Version” by clicking the link below.
Bust a move with your students and have fun!
P.S. If you have a TV/Screen you can throw the graphic below up so you’re kids will have a cheat sheet for the dance steps (It’s the Cardio Version)
Just click the photo, then right click and select “Save As” to save to your computer.
Have Fun and Teach On!
